Dr. Niki Serravalle

It all began 23 years ago at Sheppard Pratt. On a trauma disorder unit where I was introduced to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I found the skills of mindfulness to be key to creating a healing environment. Over the years I have continued my counseling journey working as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor in Maryland, a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health (LPCMH) in Delaware, and finally as a Licensed Psychologist. My training includes many aspects of mindfulness based practices (see treatment modalities page). I have also sought out many trainings and certifications for treating trauma. As the field evolves, so do I. I continue to seek out the current trends in trauma therapy.
My love for Psychological Evaluation was sparked working with kids and teens. I enjoy the comprehensive nature of assessment. I offer neuropsychological evaluation for ADHD, ASD and Learning Disorders.

I think those that know me and have worked with me would say I am passionate about what I do. I believe in the sacred nature of the therapeutic process. It has been an honor to have served so many people and to have been trusted with their care. Those that know me would say I am a strong advocate for the people I serve and try my best to be present, informed and ethical in all that I do.
